Car hire at Basel Airport
Basel airport, also known as EuroAirport Basel Mulhouse Freiburg, is located around 3.5km from Basel in Switzerland. However, it is actually located in France close to the German border, making it a truly international airport and the perfect base from which to explore this part of Europe. You can reach Basel, the nearest city, via a 2.5km customs road and then the A3.
What I need to know
You'll probably want to compare car hire before you leave home, so be sure to check out our dedicated site. There's a wide range of providers to choose from at Basel Airport and no credit card fee either. We also offer free cancellation for added peace of mind.
Where to pick up my car
The airport consists of one terminal building with four levels, split into French and Swiss sectors. Level two is where the car hire desks are situated, but do ask at the Airport Information Desk on the same floor if you need assistance. The car parks for pick-up are in the basement (level one).
