Whether you want to celeb spot at Universal Studios or check out one of the fantastic exhibitions at the Getty Centre, there is plenty to do and see in LA. Even just driving along certain roads can be a great way to spend your time. Check out the history of the city by heading down Sunset Boulevard or enjoy the sea views of the Pacific Coast Highway.

Longer drives

Around an hour and a half away from LAX, Santa Barbara is not quite as over the top as Los Angeles. There's still plenty to do though, so be sure to head to Stearns Pier for some food and shopping, explore the Santa Barbara Zoo or relax at the Botanic Gardens.

Those who love variety when it comes to food will definitely love LA. You can get so many different cuisines from around the world throughout the city, so you'll never need to eat the same food two days in a row. Of course, you can enjoy some of the oversized food that America has become known for if you want to embrace the local culture.

You can't really go to Los Angeles without going to the 20-acre complex that houses the collections of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. No matter what type of art you enjoy most, there will be something you love and some unusual pieces that are sure to amaze.

Of course, you can also pop to Rodeo Drive to shop in some of the most famous shops in the world.

Sightseeing

The sight you can't miss while in LA has to be the Hollywood sign. This huge sign in Beverly Hills is one of the most iconic so you definitely need to see it for yourself.

You should also head to the Walt Disney Concert Hall, which is an incredibly interesting architectural feat. Even if you're not going to watch a show, it is definitely worth paying it a visit.
