Arriving at Mallorca Airport means you have a lot of options in terms of where you can go. You can either head into the beautiful city of Palma for culture and history or enjoy the nightlife of Magaluf in as little as half an hour.

With the stunning city of Palma being so close, you definitely need to drive the 10km down the Ma-19 to see all it offers. In the city, you'll find stunning Medieval buildings, some of the most beautiful golden sandy beaches and outstanding food and drink. The cultural city is full to bursting with things to do so you could easily spend your whole holiday in Palma.

Longer drives

You can experience a lot of Mallorca without needing to drive far as the island isn't particularly big. This means taking a trip to Manacor could be the perfect idea. Here you can explore the town's ancient history, including Prehistoric caves. Manacor is also known as the home of the artificial pearl industry, giving you plenty of opportunities to learn about this area.

Eating and drinking

The food and drink on offer throughout Palma and the rest of Mallorca is truly stunning. You'll find lots of fresh seafood, Spanish classics and international favourites, ensuring everyone will be able to enjoy a delicious meal. While fine dining options are great, make sure you head off the beaten track a bit to find some of the local hidden gems that are dotted about.

Things to do

For relaxed days, you can't do better than heading to any one of the magnificent beaches in the area. Cala Estancia and Platja de Palma are both beautiful and will let you top up your tan and enjoy a swim in crystal clear water.

If you want to explore a bit more, go to Serra de Tramuntana. The mountain offers stunning views, as well as great walking trails that will really let you make the most of this beautiful island.

Sightseeing

You can't really start your trip from Mallorca Airport without heading to Bellver Castle. This Gothic-style castle is just 3km from the centre of Palma, offering views over the city and bay. It is home to a great museum and provides the perfect opportunity for great holiday photos.
