Where to go

From Brindisi Airport you can head into Brindisi itself, a historical coastal town that is home to a number of important archaeological finds, as well as a picturesque sand dunes and beaches.

Around 20 km up the coast is Area Marina Protetta di Torre Guaceto, a coastal marine nature reserve that is home to a defence tower dating back to the 16th century. 50 km to the south is Lecce, another historic city that is popular with tourists.

Head to Bari, around 113 km away, to explore its narrow streets, cafes and bars, or travel across the country to Taranto, another coastal city that boasts picturesque landscape. If you want a longer trip, consider Naples.
