Things to do

Exploring Bari's Old Town is a great way to spend some time, as is heading to two of its greatest churches - Basilica di San Nicola and Cattedrale di San Sabino. Bari is also a popular student city, so the city is not short of bars and clubs to enjoy.

Sightseeing

Castel del Monte, Frederick II's castle, which is now a UNESCO site, is just over an hour away by car. Alternatively the picturesque seaside town of Trani is also around an hour from Bari, along the SS16 motorway that runs along the coast, offering great views of the Adriatic Sea.
