The big attraction of Orlando is its world famous theme parks. These include The Disneyworld Resort, Universal Studios, Sea World and Wet n Wild. Many of these are located on the outskirts of Orlando and feature large car parks. Directions to the theme parks are well sign posted off the main highways.
The other large theme park in Florida is located in Tampa and is called Busch Gardens. It is approximately 1 hour away and is close to the beach resorts of St Petersburg and Clearwater. A drive to the North of Orlando can also take you to the Kennedy Space Centre at Cape Canaveral.
Combining a week with a theme park with a week on the beach is the preferred option for many tourists due to Florida's weather. It is known as the sunshine state. Miami's Art Deco district on south beach is a popular place to visit, as are the Florida Keys and Everglades National Park.
