There is much to explore close to Aviemore as it is located in some of the most beautiful areas of Scotland. Those keen on the outdoors will be pleased to discover that there are two parks within a short distance from the town - Glemore Forest Park and Landmark Forest Advernture Park - both offering the ideal setting for some fresh air exercise.

One of the highlights near to Aviemore is CairnGorm Mountain. Around a 25-minute drive, the mountain is famous for its challenging, but enjoyable, ski runs. For those who are less keen to put on the skies, the resort is home to the highest restaurant in Scotland, a museum and a special viewing platform that offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
