For a day of thrills with the family, head to one of the island's popular water parks. This has a number of different water slides, as well as areas for younger kids, a wave pool and mini golf.

The island also has some stunning cultural sites, with Palma Cathedral being hugely popular. This Roman Catholic cathedral is one of the most famous Gothic buildings in Europe, and it's easy to see why. The architecture of this cathedral is flawless, encapturing a range of artistic styles since the Middle Ages, which is why it's often considered one of the most magnificent buildings in the world.
