From New Orleans it is around a five hour drive to Houston along the I-10E. The largest city in the state of Texas is a great place to visit, with numerous parks and a popular theatre district. If you want a longer trip, even further afield is Mexico

The food of New Orleans is influenced heavily by Creole and Cajun cultures. There are plenty of local dishes on offer, including muffuletta sandwiches, oysters Rockefeller and oysters Bienville. Bananas Foster is a must with cream, rum and brown sugar.
