Where to go

The North Lincolnshire Museum is well worth visiting, particularly because of its family friendly nature. It has a great collection of fossils and fascinating displays on Scunthorpe in wartime. The town's many green spaces include Normanby hall Country park, which includes a farming museum, a Victorian walled garden and deer.

Attractions close to Scunthorpe include the Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft, just 20 minutes away, while the historic Gainsborough Old Hall is just 29 minutes away. Goole, which is just over half an hour away on the banks of the Humber, features the Goole Museum and the Water's Edge Visitor Centre.
