Where to pick up your car

Where to go

Having been the birthplace of The Beatles, Liverpool has a vibrant musical past. Whether you're a fan or not, a trip to The Beatles Story museum and the Cavern Club are perfect for an insight into the cultural history of the area.

A walk along the docks is also popular, especially on a sunny day, while in the city you can find a great collection of museums and galleries to explore.

Nearby Liverpool

Liverpool is surrounded by some amazing northern cities, so having a hire car gives you the opportunity to visit as many of them as possible.

Longer drives

To explore even more of England, why not drive an hour and a half north on the M6 to the Lake District? This is England's largest National Park, and is also home to Scafell Pike, the country's highest mountain and Wastwater, its deepest lake.

The entire area is filled with lakes and mountains, as well as a number of beautiful towns and villages that host a variety of markets, traditional inns and local art galleries.

Alternatively, just under two hours south of Liverpool along the M6 is Birmingham, a large city in the Midlands.
