Eastbourne is home to a lovely beach and sea front, which includes the famous bright white Beachy Head cliff. The edge of the South Downs National Park is only a few miles from the seaside resort, with some truly beautiful scenery, while the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is also within easy reach by hire car.

Brighton with its famous pier and Royal Pavilion is around a 50-minute drive from Eastbourne. Spend your spare pennies in the amusement arcades or enjoy a coffee by the marina. Eastbourne's Beachy Head is the highest chalk sea cliff in Great Britain, with its distinctive white rock visible from miles across the sea. A walk along Beachy Head offers stunning views across the English Channel, while Harry Potter fans will be interested to know this is the site where the Quidditch World Cup was filmed in the Goblet of Fire.
