Car hire at Ibiza Airport

Car hire at Ibiza Airport

Ibiza Airport is 13.5 miles away from the centre of Ibiza, which is accessible through the E-20 and E-10 roads and takes around 22 minutes. By using a car, visitors can truly make the most of this wonderful area and explore the charming towns surrounding it.

What I need to know

As Ibiza is one of Spain’s most popular holiday destinations, car hire bookings should be made as soon as possible. There are plenty of providers to choose from and we offer 24/7 support, no credit card fees and free cancellation to provide peace of mind for travellers.

Where to pick up my car

Car rental desks are currently based on Level O of the terminal building, but it is advisable to check their location before your arrival to make sure this has not changed. Once you have collected your car, you will just be a short distance away from all of the delights of the island.

Where to go

Ibiza is brimming with amazing activities. Whether you want to relax on the beach, or take a walk through the delightful Old Town, it’s a fantastic place to unwind and a car will give you the best chance of exploring the wider area and enjoying some of its attractions off-the-beaten-track.

Nearby

There are some beautiful beaches away from the main tourist attractions in Ibiza that are more than worth the price of car hire. Puerto de San Miguel in particular is a stunning beach away from it all, while the town of Es Cana provides a relaxing atmosphere with plenty of bars and restaurants.

Longer drives

At only 27 miles long, there are few opportunities for long drives in Ibiza due to its small size, but you can see almost all the island has to offer with a car. Perhaps tour the beaches of San Carlos and Aguas Blancas in the north before heading down to Las Salinas and Cala Jondal in the south-west.

Eating and drinking

Ibiza has a thriving food scene with excellent seafood restaurants and eateries serving up dishes from all over the world. When it comes to nightlife, travellers can expect everything from stylish cocktail bars to traditional British pubs, so you’re sure to quickly find your new favourite bar in the sun.

Things to do

While it is best known for its stunning beaches in Playa d’en Bossa, Cala Jondal, Talamanca and elsewhere, the breathtaking Es Vedra island and Sa Talaiassa mountain are amazing attractions for outdoor types who want to put on their walking boots to see more of the destination’s beautiful scenery.

Sightseeing

Ibiza’s Mediterranean location means it boasts some amazing views, which can be enjoyed best at the historic Castle of Ibiza. If you want to find out more about the history of the island, perhaps visit the Iglesia de Sant Rafel, which has stood tall since the 1700s and is a short walk from the Old Town.
