Where to pick up my car

“The pick-up was easy, it took 5 minutes from arriving at the desk to driving out the car, and the return took even less time.”
Where to go
Once you’ve picked up your car, you can see what Canterbury and the surrounding villages have to offer. From beautiful old buildings to gorgeous scenery, there is something for everyone. If you love golf, you’ll be in the right place, with several clubs located around the city.
If you’d like to see the sea, you can drive up the A290 and in just 25 minutes, you’ll be in Whitstable. There, you can try the delicious oysters and other seafood fresh from the water. You can also visit Dover, where you can see the famous white cliffs for yourself.
If you prefer more hustle and bustle, you can head along the M2 and A2 to London, where you can experience the culture of the various galleries and theatres or change it up and party all night at some of the most well-known night clubs in the world.
Eating and drinking
Canterbury offers you a huge choice of dining options. You can devour traditional English fare at cosy and welcoming pubs or you can try some of the more exotic options at one of the city’s highly regarded restaurants. You can taste Asian, South American and African cuisines in Canterbury, giving you a huge variety.
Things to do
You can visit the Westgate Gardens, where you can enjoy some peace and quiet, just a few minutes away from the busy main street. You can also stop by the Beaney House of Art and Knowledge, where you can see some exceptional art and learn about the city of Canterbury.
Canterbury Cathedral is one of the top sights to see in the city. An awe-inspiring feat of architecture, the cathedral was built in the year 597 and was a monastery for Benedictine monks in the 12th century. The gardens and surrounding area won’t disappoint either, with so much to enjoy.
