Where to pick up my car

Where to go
After picking up your car, you can set off to find out what Blackburn has to offer. The town has a real affinity for sport and golf, which is something that can be played on many different courses. There are lots of pretty towns in the surrounding area, which are easy to visit with your hire car.
You can drive down the A666 and end up in Darwen, a charming little town with cosy pubs and beautiful architecture. You can also head to Witton Country Park, a public park also featuring woodland, a visitors’ centre and an animal centre. You can also see the River Ribble, which passes nearby Blackburn.
Head down the M6 and M58 and you can visit Liverpool. There, you can see where one of the most famous and influential bands in history - The Beatles - came from. You can also drive north on the M6 and see the Lake District, one of the UK’s most beautiful areas.

Lancashire hotpot is a famous meal from this part of the world and you’ll be able to find it in any decent food-serving pub. You can also enjoy a pint of locally-brewed beer with your meal. There are many different influences felt in the food in Blackburn, from Asian to Caribbean, so you’re bound to find something delicious to enjoy.
Things to do
You can visit the ice skating rink, where you can get active while having lots of fun. You can learn to skate or watch an ice hockey game if you prefer to let others do the work. If you prefer your activities a little quieter, you can head to Blackburn Museum and Art Gallery, where you can browse the collections.
Blackburn is one of the UK’s only towns with a cathedral, making it unusual in that regard. A Gothic Revival-style building, the cathedral is one of the country’s newest. The town’s football stadium is also a real attraction, known for its great atmosphere and enjoyable snacks.
