Prague is known as the City of a Hundred Spires, so you'll be sure to want to check out the many historic buildings such as Prague Castle, the Old Town Hall and the Church of St Nicholas. Make sure not to miss the Charles Bridge or the winding lanes of the Jewish Quarter either.

Nearby Prague

Prague's central location means it is easy to drive to destinations such as the picturesque Karlstejn Castle, located less than an hour's drive away, as well as nearby cities such as Kladno. The Elbe river is also easily reachable from the capital, for those wishing to take a cruise on one of central Europe's major rivers.

Prague's inclusion in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites is testament to its splendour. Must-see sights include the Prague Castle - the largest ancient castle in the world, dating back to the ninth century - and Old Town Square with its astronomical clock. Also, make sure to take a stroll along the Charles Bridge, which is lined with statues of Catholic saints.
